A professional organizer by trade, when r*ssia’s invasion of Ukraine began, Ivanka decided there was more that she could do on the ground in Ukraine than from Canada, so three days later she was on a plane to Poland where she started assisting unaccompanied minors crossing the border. Within a week, Ivanka crossed over into Ukraine to do more. Little did she know she would spend the better part of 6 months in Ukraine delivering humanitarian aid and assisting with evacuations from the frontlines.
Why we love Ivanka
Ivanka is a woman of many talents and gifts. She's helped families make life more meaningful and simpler by decluttering and focusing on experiences instead of things. So, of course ECHOage is drawn to, and greatly respects her. But, what made our hearts sing, and our eyes tear up, was her devotion to Ukraine and her commitment to help those who needed her. Rushing into a war-zone, then fearlessly accompanying minors, then...yes this happened...hosting an ECHOage Birthday Party for 5 year Anya living her childhood surrounded by war, well it's a love that will last forever. Ivanka, you set the bar high, but we are committed to following in your footsteps, as best as we can. ECHOage thanks you.
