About Nadiia
I am Ukrainian, I recently relocated to Toronto from Ukraine as the war forced me to leave my country, home, and work. I have two master’s degrees and extensive experience in finance and recruitment. I have a good understanding of business processes, values of resources and the psychology of people. I am lucky to be able to put these skills to use at ILAC. ILAC gave me an opportunity to succeed…and not just me. ILAC is instrumental in helping Ukrainian refugees find jobs and integrate into Canadian society by improving their language skills. In my job today, I am responsible for recruiting staff, creating scholarships for ESL teachers, managing employee training programs and helping Ukrainians find jobs in Canada.

Why we love Nadiia
Nadiia has inspired us with her bravery, her courage, and her passion for justice. Just by hearing her story and her willingness to share it with us we feel we have gained a deeper understanding of the world. We are lucky to be working with ILAC and have chosen to spotlight Nadiia so that her story can reach more people and be heard and understood by a wider circle. By working with ILAC and the Canada-Ukraine Foundation we hope we can help raise more funds and greater awareness across Canada.
