Why I chose to support CARE Canada
We have been talking about the Syrian refugee crisis and how there are so many families just like ours that no longer have homes and have had to leave their home country to be safe. Together we chose CARE Canada because it is working to welcome Syrian refugees to Canada. Also, with birthdays right after Christmas, the boys knew they wouldn't really need anything. In fact, Spencer and Nelson are good buddies from school and they chose to hold a joint party so that the entire class could be invited.
Why I chose my gift(s)
Thanks to ECHOage, 50% of the money went to CARE Canada and then the boys split the rest of the funds to purchase something later (and perhaps save for something special).
