Contributing to a charity helps children understand both the value of giving and the value of saving money. Kids are encouraged to focus not only on presents but on the values of altruism and kindness. Alex collected his birthday money and was proud to help animals and happy to choose the gift if his choice. It makes gift giving easier for parents and guests attending the party as well.
