HOW YOUR CONTRIBUTION HELPS:
With one in 10 Torontonians now accessing food banks, your help is needed now more than ever. We are the last resort for so many families and individuals who are struggling. The city’s high cost of living, stagnant wages and insufficient social supports are driving more and more people to our doors. Before the pandemic, we used to serve about 65,000 client visits per month. This figure has now surpassed 300,000. We’re spending more than ever to keep pace with this tidal wave of demand. Our annual food-purchasing budget has shot up from $1.5 million pre-COVID to $29 million this fiscal year.
